Band: Andy Summers - Guitar Rodrigo Santos - Bass, Vocals Joao Barone - Drums Note: The setlist shown in the setlist.fm page is incorrect, this is the actual setlist. Technical Comments: This was the very first bootleg I made. The audio show was recorded with my personal cellphone and it didn't sound that good specially considering the recording was mono instead of stereo. I had to transfer the audio file to my PC so I could work it out and make it sound better using some tools from the VEGAS Pro 15 audio editor (I didn't use Audicity because I don't like it). I feel the final product sounds great, at least compared to the original recording. I also had to make convert it into a stereo file, and that's what I think made it sound good. I'm not very experienced in audio editing but I tried to do my best and I like what it turned out to be. Although, I missed some details and I want to make another "remaster" because it's a very heavy bootleg compared to others that have much better sound quality, so I'll work it out soon and make another release with some artworks. Comments: The show was phenomenal, but started a bit later than expected. It kickstarted with a remixed version of "Voices Inside My Head" and continued with "Synchronicity II". The band had an amazing performance and blew everyone in the audience away, incluiding me. Here you can listen Andy's potential much more than the Reunion Tour with The Police, specially with his mindblowing solo intro to "Tea In The Sahara". He was better than ever and happy to be in Chile. The band was happy to perform these songs and the crowd was just as happy to hear them. They certainly had great energy and the drumming was great, without mentioning how good Rodrigo's vocals were and his nice bass playing. It was a wonderful night, and I wish they would've performed more songs. This show, comparted to others from the tour, had two songs they didn't perform. These were "Can't Stand Losing You" and "Truth Hits Everybody". Bootleg Story: When I found out that Andy Summers was coming to Chile along with his own tribute band, Call The Police, I noticed that the date he was coming was the same date that I had to go to a school camp for charity to make furniture to migrants, so it was very hard for me to assist. Luckily, I spoke to the professor in charge of the activity and he allowed me to leave the camp for the night with an excuse I made up. My dad picked me up from the camp and we went to his workplace to prepare for the show. My best friend also wanted to assist, but due to a confusion with the tickets he didn't go. If he would've gone we could've had a copy of the entire pro-shot show in FHD with soundboard audio, as he knew one of the cameramen, I would've lend them a hard drive due to the file being heavy as hell, but as I said before, he couldn't make it and we lost the chance. My father knew the owners of the place where Andy was going to perform and they let us to enter to the show for free, and if we were lucky, we could meet Andy and the band at the backstage (usually the bodyguards don't let anyone get close to them). At the entrance there were many people selling Police memorabilia. Although I didn't buy any, I bought a rare CD of the Rockpalast Concert from 1980 for about 10 dollars, a very good acquisition. Everyone at the front row was going crazy for the band and the crowd was very energetic, the guards of the theatre also started to get people inside, the place was full. You could've bought the cheapest ticket and you would've end up at the front row anyway. I didn't want to move there though, I was simply enjoying the music that I've loved for so many years. At the end of the show the band took selfies with the crowd and the drummer gave some free drumsticks. After the show ended, the band left inmediatly from the theatre and I couldn't meet Andy, I was very sad. The owners told us that in order to meet Andy and the band we should have come to the place during the afternoon, a lot of people did that and got to meet the band and take pictures with them. This show would've been the show of a lifetime if it would've gone as planned (having a copy of the entire show from the master tapes, a photo with Andy and the band with some autographs). Sadly, I wasn't so lucky but I enjoyed the show, it was my first "Police Experience", even though I had assisted to a Sting show the year before. After all that I still got to take some very good pictures and film some videos, also having recorded the entire audio of the show wasn't that bad for me. Sorry for the low quality audio. The reason behind this was my impromptu assistance to the show, so I couldn't take better equipment with me rather than my phone. Although, I have some very good video fragments of the show from another phone I was using to record, these fragments were recorded with an iPhone 6 and they count with very good audio quality. Aside from that, the show is still very enjoyable. A few weeks after the show, Rodrigo Santos gave hints for a possible Call The Police world tour with Andy in his Instagram account, stating that the band is ready to do it. He also gave some hints for a possible return to Chile in early 2019. So fans must stay frosty. Enjoy!
