This is my master tape of the first german gig in 1987. I taped all 3 gigs. The Berlin gig was (for me) the best of them. We drove with 4 people in a car from Kiel to Berlin. The driver didnīt want to see the gig, he only wanted to be our chauffeur. While the gig, he slept in his car. After the gig, the driver & I slept at his aunt ( she didnīt hear of him for 3 years !!!) The other 2 friends had to sleep in the car. After breakfast,we drove to the Eifel were the "Rock Am Ring" gig was. Our driver had to drive very fast, so almost we had a crash. When we arrived, it was a little bit rainy, and the sky was a mixture of dark and yellow. Most of the fans were very drunken (there were over 60000 people). The ground was muddy too. Wolfgang Niedecken ( one of the supporting acts ) played his last riffs. But we had no problem to get through 60000 people until we had a good place to see and tape. When the gig was over it began a strong rain. We were very lucky as we arrived our car in the dark. Short before we arrived Bremen, our car had some problems. So we had to drive the rest of the way (ca. 115 miles) with only 20 miles/hour. Every second the fear, that the car breaks down. But it wasnīt boring, because we had the tapes of the 2 gigs in our player!!!!!!!!!!!!! The last gig was Hamburg (1 week later). It was a bad gig, because he didnīt play "Time" Nevertheless, I bought my tourshirt there, because after that gig I could say : "I saw the complete german tour 1987" !!!!! Important info : I posted an mp3 version of this gig at JBT (Just Bowie Torrents) ca. 2 years ago. This one here, is not the same !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I recorded the master tapes on hd for new, and made wave, Flac, .....etc In the torrent title I wrote "uncirculated". Yes, of course. Not circulated as a lossless version !!!!! Many thanks goes to ziggy2000 ( one of the admins at JBT) for created the artwork for me, which is included. Also included are some scans from german newspaper and my ticket.
