I was lucky enough to head to Stonecutter’s home in NY in April of 2017 where I met up to talk shop and go through some of his tapes. I took a boatload of tapes home to transfer and post here to DIME. My intention was to get through these all pretty quickly. Well… Life gets in the way and other things to where these have sat on my hard drive for almost 3 years. Now, there is no excuse while my schooling is on hold for the foreseeable future. I’ve got a bunch of tapes to post here and I hope these tapes will help someone out during this time just enjoy some good music. Stay safe everyone. Although I am not familiar with a lot of REM (and that's why I picked a lot of REM tapes up) this is a really good FM recording. Big thanks to Elegymart for tracking this one out for me. Also, I am looking for any Nine Inch Nails recordings that are not on the NIN Live archive over at ninlive.com. If anyone can help me out finding new sources, I would love to have them. Especially some European shows. Thank you. From the R.E.M. Timeline: "Either missing the encore, or this was an edited radio broadcast (most likely). This show was originally thought to have been on 16 November 1982, however that was the date this show was broadcast on the radio." So it's definitely NOT 16 November 1982! On the announcement, it states this is the "B Sharp Concert Series," and a Thirsty Ear Production. Thirsty Ear originates out of Norwalk, CT, and was established in the late 70s as an independent marketing company, pioneering the concept of specialized marketing to the yet-unnamed alternative music world in the U.S. So there's hopefully a master somewhere of this, on cassette or LP or whatever they used to distro to radio stations.
