Radio Free Europe [3:37] Total Running Time: [36:42] Lineage: excellent audience recording > "L.I.V.E." bootleg LP > 2nd generation cassette received in trade > Nero ROM > Cool Edit (mild click & pop reduction) > FLAC > you! Notes: When I was a 12 year old growing up in Rochester, R.E.M. and U2 both played local concerts within 15 days of each other. Unfortunately I was unaware of either band for another year or two, so I missed both shows. Now it makes me a little sick to think about what I missed, but thankfully each concert was well-recorded. This recording was taken from the "L.I.V.E." LP, apparently the first vinyl bootleg ever pressed of an R.E.M. performance. R.E.M. were opening for the English Beat, as Michael mentions towards the very end of the recording. The setlist is fairly standard for this period in time, but it's definitely worth having in your collection! Thanks to everyone who has shared their recordings! Trey
