Windout [1:44] Lineage: 2nd generation analog cassette>Dak's Wave Editor>Wav>Flac Taper: Unknown, except last 3 tracks on disc 2: David O Thomas Story behind this recording: My brother went to Rutgers and REM was the headline for Spring Break. This was a free concert. A bunch of us made the road trip including Dave Thomas who recorded a ton of REM shows during this period and was geared up to record this show. This was an outdoor show and a very windy day which is why the recording fluctuates at times. Dave recorded the show but during the show we noticed another taper who had his mike's on a stand above the crowd. After the show we befriended the other taper and compared recordings. As you will hear his recording was quite good with very little crowd noise. We actually patched his deck to Dave's and recorded his version. Unfortunately the unknown taper missed the freight train beginning and the last 3 songs of the show. So hear it is 21 years later...enjoy!!!
