I had a long converstion with Rich about these tapes and their origin. This show along with the previous posting of the Keystone 83 tapes came from an unknown collector, decades ago. I need to make a note to say that there is a known source already in circulation with this lineage: 'Nakamichi CM-300 mics > Sony TCD-6M > 1st generation cassette.' That version was posted in 2006, with a [B+] rating. 602MB / 97 min. I haven't heard that source, so there is a chance that what I have here is a new source. If anyone here already has that Nak source, could compare to verify if this is the same or a different source. Recording Notes: Track 13 starts abruptly after the tape flip. A tiny bit missing. Track 26 'Wild Thing' was repeated at the beginning of Side C. I also expected to find a tape cut during the tape change. I didn't find any tape cuts were I'd expected a tape flip. Thanks to Rich for being so diligent in collecting all these rare old REM tapes. I've included a scan of the j-card and cassette. You'll notice the cassette was labeled as O'Keefe Center, but that's not correct. Samples Provided. Enjoy George Dimeadozen.org: Torrent 559107 (by Destin)
