The tape I converted was a copy I received from the taper, David Thomas. The sound quality is not quite as good as the shows that hatnham has been posting recently. Listen to the sample posted in the comments section. As hatnham has explained, Dave taped 13 shows on this tour. I got him his tickets for this show, although we never actually met face to face. This was the last of four shows I saw on this tour, and it turned out to be the last time I saw R.E.M. I feel that Pageant was their last great album, and the shows started becoming very predictable on this tour. Just my opinion, of course. The only other detail I remember from this night is that the show was in the basketball arena, and the floor was open general admission, with the typical pushing. After dealing with that at every other show, we decided to sit in the seats this time. This is the last of my low generation R.E.M. tapes. Fortunately, hatnham appears to have a bunch to share!
