After Hours [2:04] Recorded By: B.W. This show, but not this recording, has been on DIME a long time ago - therefore you might also be able to find Persic's recording of this show out there in the ether for the purposes of comparision and completeness (if you are obsessive). This recording is complete, and for the most part the band play the show it pretty straight, there's a couple of nice touches - after the deadly seriousness of World Leader Pretend, Stipe invites Mills to sing a song, and he duly delivers a Troggs cover. Swan Swan H is prefaced with "this is new song, I'm not sure that I know words, but we're gonna give it a try..." and after Pretty Persuasion, Stipe's says you can always tell when Mike Mills has been allowed to write the setlist. Then in the encores, Good Advices, is delivered as a gift, it was only played a few more times before being retired for good. The recording itself is really very good and clear, there is a bit of background hum which I think is the sound of the tape recorder used at the time. Dimeadozen.org: Torrent 674668 (by clumsiloe)
