It's The End Of The World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine) [6:47] Source: AUD recording unknown equipment Known lineage: CD-R > WAV > FLAC (Level 8) Michael Stipe- Vocals, guitar on Hope Peter Buck. Guitar, mandolin Mike Mills. Bass, vocals Scott McCaughey. Guitar, keyboards, vocals Ken Stringfellow. Guitar, keyboards, vocals Joey Waronker. Drums, percussion Show notes: The second of 3 homecoming shows in Atlanta on the Up tour, with the band mixing up the setlist from night 1. Notable rarities here included How The West Was Won And Where It Got Us, Stand (for only the fourth time on the tour), E-Bow The Letter without Patti Smith (Mike handling the duties), and the first performance of Wolves, Lower in almost 10 years to an excited and surprised crowd (last time performed 19 September 1989). Like night 1, Nightswimming featured Jun-Ching Lin on Violin & Deborah Workman on oboe. Recording notes: This is a fine audience recording, if a little dull sounding. Like the night 1 show, this was released on a double CD bootleg, this time by the company 'Red Robin' (same person connected to the same Athens record store though. Red Robin also released other R.E.M. bootlegs). Presumably it's the same person recording the show with the same equipment as night 1. Torrent notes: To my knowledge this show has never been torrented before. I can't find any history of it being shared on Dime or any other tracker before. I kindly received wav files of the show from Dime user nakeddave, and I converted them to flac level 8 using Traders Little Helper. Photos of the front and back covers of the bootleg CD have been included. the back cover indicates track 1 should have been the Airportman intro, Welcome To The Dollhouse was a separare track, and the band intros were separately tracked, but here they are part of the 'Tongue' track. I don't know if the original bootleg was the same, but here they are not. Enjoy! Dimeadozen.org: Torrent 675095 (by eckythump)
