Performing at this benefit concert were: Sting, Elton John, Don Henley, James Taylor, Robin Williams and Diana Ross. The first half of the show consisted mostly of classical music performed by flutist Andrea Griminelli, pianist Katie & Marielle Labeque, guitarist Paco Peņa, cellist Mstislav Rostropovich and Branford Marsalis. Sting opened the second half with Let Your Soul Be Your Pilot with 46-piece gospel choir.The finale included Diana Ross joined by "The Chicken Supremes": Don Henley, James Taylor, Robin Williams, Elton John and Sting (all dressed in long pink gloves and sunglasses). They performed hilarious versions of Baby Love, Stop In The Name Of Love and You Can't Hurry Love. The backing band included: Butch Thomas, Clark Gayton, Vinnie Colaiuta, Darryl Jones, Dominic Miller, Kenny Kirkland, Dolette McDonald, Janice Pendarvis and Branford Marsalis. The party at the end of the show was followed by an action. Elton John outbided everyone for "a Yoga lesson with Sting". The event raised $1.5 million for the Rainforest Foundation.
