Nevertheless, there was crowd chatter, up close talking and whistling that was noticeable at times, particularly with headphones. MVSep has removed almost all of such issues. I was present at this show (my first concert) - we arrived too late to see REM but did catch Joan Jett (who was more well known at the time).
