Translatest from the original Japanese comments: On May 30, 1983, in front of a huge crowd at Glen Helen Legional Park in California, a monumental show of early U2! Unearthed live recordings after the release of U2's breakthrough album, "WAR". On May 30, 1983, they performed at the "US Festival" at Glen Helen Legional Park in San Bernardino, California. The event was held to coincide with Memorial Day, the last Monday in May, and was divided into four days for each genre, and the fact that U2 performed on Rock Day instead of New Wave Day shows that they have become a big part of the group. U2's activities that year had a spectacular updraft that could be described as dramatic. In December of '82, they embarked on a UK ~ European tour called "Pre-War Tour", and "New Years Day", released as a single on January 10, '83, swept the European charts and entered the top 10 of the UK charts for the first time. On February 28th, their third album "WAR" was released, recording their first No. 1 in the UK. And (albeit overtaken the following week) it was No. 1, beating Michael Jackson's "Thriller." and "Sunday Bloody Sunday", which was released as the third single from the album. At this festival, which is said to have attracted a total of 1 million people, Bono gave a very enthusiastic performance, including a scene where he held the Irish flag in front of a large crowd. It's safe to say that it was one of the highlights of the show that year. Bono's early U2 career seems to have come to a halt this year, and it's a show that I want to remember as one of the moments that marked the beginning and the end. ·Domestic Edition ·Commentary: Takashi Ikegami Credits: Bono- Lead Vocals, The Edge- Guitar, Adam Clayton- Bass, Larry Mullen Jr- Drums CD Label indicates: Straight Music Presents: STRT077CD U2torrents.com: Torrent 10956 (by Propaganda)
