This show falls firmly in that category of riches, 39 years after the performance, the last night of U2's final North American leg of "The Unforgettable Fire" tour surfaces. There have been unconfirmed reports for decades they played "I Fall Down" and/or "The Ocean" at this show and in the case of "I Fall Down" this release confirms it was played as Bono tells the audience "it's a song that was played here on the radio in Florida before it was played a lot of other places so it's for you. A song, it's not about standing up with you know a fist clenched, it's called I Fall Down...it's the opposite". Some reports indicate this was played as an encoure with Bono popping bottles of champagne but in fact it was the fourth song of the set. Quality is very good to excellent with all stage dialogue and instruments are very clean and clear. We've additionally cleaned up any external audience noises making this an excellent listen. The only real issue with the show is "40" was not recorded. As always cover art included and a lot of newspaper clippings with reviews of the previous May 3rd show, no "I Fall Down" at that one, and general information/publicity on U2 run in the area newspapers at the time. A big thanks as always to "Two Of Us", their dedication to capturing all these legendary performers and shows many heard hear for the first time, the HOURS and HOURS spent waiting in line, traveling, money on tickets as well as trusting me to be the caretaker of their life's work, our little community is indebted to you both. Also, a big thank you to my friend "fmcleanboots" for putting me in touch and laying the groundwork that has resulted in all these great releases...we've barely scratched the surface. The amount of completely uncirculated shows they taped and continue to get into my hands for release is staggering. And as always thanks to Goody for his continuing support of this and all our other historic releases ensuring we are running in the correct pitch. mjk5510 & Two Of Us U2Torrents.com: Torrent 10987 (by mjk5510)
