This newly surfaced version is supposed to be the analog master, but details have since been lost. Like other shows, this one was off in pitch and speed so I fixed it. I also took the opportunity to index the tracks better than they had been. The sound would be unbelievable except that, at times there is some clipping due in part to the fact that, apparently after receiving noise complaints from the previous shows, U2 decided to raise the volume. Anyway, there is some clipping at times, which doesn't change the fact that this is a really great recording with really great sound. There is a cut between "Wild Rover" and "Tryin'" which sacrifices a bit of the time between the two songs and a bit of the intro to the latter. There is also a cut part way through "Streets" that sacrifices a big part of the song as well as the beginning of "Pride." An unusually energetic show with some surprises on the setlist. "Can't Help Falling in Love" (well, some of it) was sung after "One" as well as at the end of the show, and an almost perfect rendition of "Party Girl" is soon followed by "Slow Dancing." "Wild Rover" also has a verse I have never heard before. There are also some lines at the end of "Until the End of the World," which I could not make out too well. A search as to what this might be came up with nothing. **I received this in a trade several years ago. The taper had it listed, but wasn't too pleased with his own recording, but I wanted to hear it badly, so he kindly put his master to CD for me. I forgot what the equipment was, analog for sure - D6 maybe. He wasn't happy with his recording because of the very loud sound coming from the PA, apparently U2 decided to even turn the volume up to 11 as there had been some neighbours complaints from the previous nights...The band is in excellent form, very playful and talkative.
