One [5:41] Recorded by eckythump from section 116 row 10 Source: Nokia Lumia 930 (called Lumia Icon in North America) w/built-in HAAC mics > Audio Recorder Pro app > 16bit/48 KHz PCM/WAV Encoding: Trader's Little Helper > FLAC (Level 8) Bono - vocals, harmonica The Edge - guitar, keyboards, vocals Adam Clayton - bass Larry Mullen Jr. - drums, percussion Show Notes: My first time seeing U2 since 2010 (the last time they toured Australia) - I had planned a US holiday for June and made sure I would be in New York for this as I couldn't miss it (plenty of recordings of other artists from my travels also forthcoming), and they didn't disappoint. It was a beautiful warm night in New Jersey, and well worth the hassle of getting to the stadium from Manhattan (take the bus is my advice, and go early, and run to the bus pick area after to avoid waiting a long time for the ride home). The gigantic 4K video screen was incredible and used to great effect, and the band is in great form. While the setlists haven't varied a lot on this tour, it was fun to get Mysterious Ways - here's hoping for an Achtung Baby full album show in 5 years time! Recording Notes: Sounds pretty good I think, the recording actually sounds better than it did from my seat. I was unable to score floor tickets, so had to make do with a seat, which while good for my legs, unfortunately affected the quality of the sound, as it sounded quite muddy and distorted at times, which comes from being in seats at a sports stadium, however I've done my best with this recording and it sounds decent enough (not quite as good as taper Larryrulz's recording of night 1, but I don't think it's miles behind). If anything Bono's vocals sounds a little distorted at times, but it's not so off putting you can't listen to it. The only really annoying crowd talking came during Running To Stand Still - I had an aisle seat, and out of nowhere a bunch of women came and stood right behind me on the steps and proceeded to have a loud conversation, right on cue during the quietest song! i tried to give them the evil eye, but they were too engrossed in themselves to care. Eventually they moved on, so they only ruined a few minutes. Otherwise I hope you will enjoy listening to this recording! Dimeadozen.org: Torrent 595555 (by eckythump)
