Bono was ten miles outside Milton Keynes when he phoned to the interviewer whose name I can't recognize. They talked about:
- the "Wide Awake In America" release: Bono doesn't encourage the fans to buy this import because it costs too much money,
- America being an unreal place,
- trying to portray themselves on stage,
- R.E.M., Spear Of Destiny, The Ramones, The Faith Brothers,
- Milton Keynes Bowl being the only English show in 1985,
- plans for writing new songs.

They talked about:
- Joshua Tree is a big tree in the USA, a suitable image for the record, too,
- the reason not to release a double album though there are so many good songs,
- the album not to be a huge experiment like the previous one,
- the song "In God's Country",
- the song "With Or Without You",
- spiritual side of the record,
- the song "Where The Streets Have No Name",
- the song "Red Hill Mining Town",
- the song "Mothers Of The Disappeared".

You can hear some vinyl pops once but it is not annoying.
