The replacement is from a San Diego, CA Show... 1997.04.28 This was the best source to match audio. It isn't perfect, but the song is complete. DVD 2 FLAWS : Wake Up Dead Man There was a piece of audio missing from the original source. The replacement is from a Seattle IEM Source... 1997.12.12 "Closer to Stage" angle has Lens Flare / Digital Noise throughout DVD 2. As a result, there are "flashing rectangles," but it isn't excessive. "Closer to Stage" angle ends during Mysterious Ways. . . as the battery died . . . AUDIO EDITING COMMENTS: Editing by ops@U2.ST / Product: Adobe Soundbooth CS3 The original source for this editing was an Unknown Digital Generation (UDG)... Due to the massive cement structure that was the Seattle Kingdome, there was a serious problem with Larry's kick-drum bouncing off the walls and getting re-recorded by the mics. As a result, you couldn't really crank-up the recording without a seriously "muddy" sound and distortion. Thankfully the recording was excellent (good mics)... and the editing process was simple... Pick a favorite song (New Year's Day) and make it the one that all editing would be based upon. Steps to achieve the goal were written down, as we went along. Once NYD was accepted by the team as "remastered" -- all steps were applied, equally, to the entire recording. We hope the end result is to your satisfaction... VIDEO EDITING COMMENTS: Editing: ops@U2.ST / Product: Adobe Premiere CS3 Source: Closer to Center: U2 Street / Closer to Stage: Anonymous Donation The "Closer to Center" source was the one with the better color and is used as the baseline to match the other video's color. This angle was converted by taking the 8mm Master Tapes and going directly to DVD (via RGB-V cable -- SP Mode). The "Closer to Stage" source was a 2nd Gen VHS and was converted to DVD and then to MPEG2. We are lucky to have this contribution, and THANK YOU to the filmer!!! Being a fan and posessing this gem is great...It was hard work to get it remastered and very time consuming... But we have a great 2-cam mix, from the Popmart Tour!!! Enjoy! Share! Take Care!!! ops@U2.ST U2Torrents.com: Torrent 6444 (by U2_Street) Video Attribute : Video compression mode : MPEG-2 TV system : 525/60 (NTSC) Aspect Ratio : 4:3 Display Mode : reserved Source picture resolution : 720x480 (525/60) Frame Rate : 29.97 Source picture letterboxed : Not letterboxed Audio Attribute : Audio Coding mode : Dolby Digital Sampling Rate : 48kHz Audio application mode : Not specified Number of Audio channels : 2.0 Bitrate : 192 Kbps Number of Audio streams : 1
