Slideshow Total Running Time: [2:05:39] Taper : Dimitrif / Olivolis / Regan / Eclipse / Manouchko / Unknown Material : DV, microMV & digicam > PC - Mix by Achtungpop > DVD Generation : Master Menu : Yes (By MLK) Description: 2nd leg starts, and here they come the first surprises! Native Son intro to Vertigo, followed by a very rare Vertigo Tour performance of Until Of The World and a special New Year's Day intro! Good and inspired performance of the band and a beautiful audience Sound: Taken from the only audio recording widely circulated, the one taped from SOUSOUS. It's a pretty good sound for an amatorial DVD. Unfortunately the sound is a bit too low when drums take the scene and a bit too stong during moments of silence. It seems like this problem is dued to the AC3 conversion...but I did the process 2 times resynching from the start and the problem is still present. Anyway it's not that bad :) Image: Picture quality is very variable and is the main "defect" of this dvd, cause even if they come from master source, Olivolis and Dimitrif videos suffer of a bit of pixelling. Anyway the average quality (together with the digicam footages) is still enjoyable! Direction: DVD started rather quickly after the show, as of mid-June 2005, it is finally only in November that I will have found enough films to make it complete. Different sources are: - Dimitrif (MiniDV): I received very quickly this film, perhaps 1 week after the concert, and it remains one of best and the most used on this mix. Unfortunately it is a bit pixellized. I do not know if that comes from the capture, or it's from the master itself... Placed in the pit, Adam side outside bomb shelter, the hands and heads of the witnesses obstruct a little but as a whole it is rather well filmed, though in large zoom that trembles much. Dimitrif filmed 1 H of show, until Pride. - Olivolis (MicroMv Sony DCR-IP45E): Last received, nearly complete film (1h50), unfortunately placed in the axis of the lights stack... The sun is in front of the taper for the first songs, so the film is very often too luminous, but the situation improves largely when the night falls. Quality is not optimal, probably dued to a not perfect mpg2 compression from the MicroMV camera. Mainly used zoom plans of the screen. Thanks to this film, Running to Stand Still and Mysterious Ways are complete! - Regan (MiniDV Panasonic GS11): Obstructed it as by lights stacks, almost in the same position as Olivolis, his film is however better, the image is better quality and there are very good plans of the screen! Unfortunately there are a lot of cuts, and it lasts 1 hour. - Unknown Side Adam: I do not know who filmed that, but it is the most beautiful film that I could see for Brussels, filmed on the right (from 3:00 o'clock position) Adam side from the stands, the plans of the small scene Adam side are exceptional, in particular on Until the end of the World or Sometimes you can' T make it one your Own. This film lasts 1 hour in all and has some slight cut. - Manouchko (MiniDV SonyDCR-HC2E): 1st experience for this filmer, very short... approximately only Sometimes you can' T make it one your Own and Bullet the Blue sky are filmed, but the angle changes a bit, it is the only camera from Edge side. It's a bit shaky, and the fast zooms follow one another. This film rarely appears in the mix... - Eclipse Bruno (MiniDV): 1st film of this taper. Located a bit more on the left of Regan and Olivolis position, lights stack does not obstruct any more! But an average framing and a strong absence of zooms make of it a too shy film, it has not been used very often in the mix.... except at the end where I had few sources, expecially All Because of you! By chance Eclipse filmed better at the end and zooms a little more! Finally some Digicam shots save this dvd making it complete, particularly for Mysterious Ways final part! The most beautiful ones are: Bourvil, Chm and Antoine, whose large plans in the pit bring a few pure moments of happiness! Thank you also to jb67, holylemon, and the ones I forget...
