Bad Aud.-shot from Adams Side 4:30 1 cam - Dat Audio Remix Taper: Unknown history: Sony 3ccd cam (as added info by the filmer!) > 3 master dvd > remix with audio Schoeps MK4s > Nbox > SBM-1 > Sony TCD-D8 and short cut > DVD (by achtungpop) Source: MiniDV Master recording comment: and outstanding mix, thanks to the original filmer and taper of the schoeps MK4, and thanks for mixing both sources! A must have! i need to add the following Notes by the filmer since the infos by AP about the used camera seems to be incomplete: 01.: The 'pixel panel' curtains aren't working during Streets, and remain in the 'up' position trhoughout the song, leaving the arena bathed in red and green lights, but without showing the African flags. 02.: comment by the original filmer: U2 came out great and I used my new cam for the 2nd Oakland show which was 11/9/05. Totally different setlist than any of the other U2 shows, and it is by far my best U2 video yet. The Oakland Arena is the place to film:) It is the closest U2 video by far, and I used my new Sony 3ccd cam, but I did have to stand up most of the show, and that is more difficult with the new camera since it's about 3 times heavier and awkward... the video is a bit shakier than normal, but, wow, you can sure tell the difference with the 3ccd cam over my regular cam... On the other hand, I don't think the microphone is quite as good as my regular mic... notes by Re-Author AP: - its exactly the same video like on the 3 dvd set, but remixed with the excellent sound from a DAT source: Schoeps MK4s > Nbox > SBM-1 > Sony TCD-D8. AP has cut ca. 20 or 30 sec of useless film (for the encores) to be able to put all on just 2 dvds, and WITHOUT ANY RECOMPRESSION! - Sound: excellent. Allthough it is the updated version mixed with the DAT source: Schoeps MK4s > Nbox > SBM-1 > Sony TCD-D8 recording - Image quality: The quality of image is nearly perfect its the same as from the DV master on 3 dvd - just this without loss, it is due here on 2 dvd filled to rabord, after the cut of some useless seconds. But there is absolutely no recompression for this passage to 2 dvd! - DVD mix by Achtungpop. - comment: This is a great amateur bootleg from one of the better indoor Vertigo shows that I saw. It's a 1cam shot from the lower level on Adam's side, near the back. the 3-DVD version has an amazing video quality but a poor sound, so this is a nice upgrade. additional info note: Courtney, the guitar player from the band Exit (who played "Out Of Control" with U2 a few nights earlier in Los Angeles) is pulled up on stage to play tambourine during "Fast Cars". Courtney wrote the following: "The story of how I got onstage that night is actually pretty funny. Bono came over and threw me the tambourine after ABOY and was telling me to give it to our singer, except I couldn't hear him and I couldn't read his lips cos he was backlit. Well, AJ and Jerry thought he wanted me onstage, and though I was confused as hell, I didn't want to miss an opportunity for craziness, so up I went. Bono said, "I just wanted for you to give that to your singer, but now that you're here...!" I was like, "Now that I'm here, what?!" and he just grinned at me and said, "Play!" pointing me back towards Larry. Who am I to argue? I can't tell you what an experience that was, mate. The beauty of the crowd from up there, the pinpricks of light from all around the arena, and the song, the rhythm, the pounding. After I took in the sight, I just focused on Larry, watching his foot and his wrists and every nuance of what he was doing. How many people get to experience that? I'm the luckiest person in the world."
