Notes: All from Late Night With David Letterman. The Elvis Costello clip is from a later satellite rebroadcast on Trio and is in stereo. All original recordings and DVDs put together by JB. 4X3 ratio. Mono (except Elvis). NTSC. Please do not sell these. From the early 80’s until basically now I have recorded bands off TV. VHS, then SVHS, then various DVD recorders with internal hard drives. About 20 years ago I started putting all my old VHS/SVHS masters on DVD. From about 1994 on, the recordings were from satellite dish (Directv). I’m guessing from about 2002, everything went direct to hard drive then DVD. All VHS and SVHS recordings were at SP mode and the DVDs were made at the highest quality 1 hour per disc mode. Many SNL and David Letterman performances from the 80’s and early 90’s are recorded from later reruns from satellite. SNL from Comedy Central and Letterman from various short lived cable channels such as Trio. I recorded tons of stuff. There are menus on every disc. The discs are made to play on insertion. If you want to see the menu use your remote. All commercials were removed, and all performances should be complete. Each appearance will be its own chapter, and there are indexes within chapters when appropriate. I have well over 100 discs. All very high quality. However, many discs contain “not allowed on Dime” material. Many discs have only one thing that makes it not allowed, but still whole disc is a problem. SNL box sets, REMTV box set, and Prince are the main culprits, but there are other random released that screw things up too. At this time, I’m not interested in redoing anything or taking the discs apart. I have done my best to make sure everything I put up does not contain banned material. I’m going to start putting some of the discs without issues up. If people are interested I’ll put up more. They are not all in exact chronological order, but the material on each disc is grouped around the same time period. The order going up will be random.
