Vinyl erinnert an das erste Studioconcert bei Radio Bremen von The Police aus dem Jahr 1979, als gerade mal 30 Leute die damals noch relativ unbekannte Band und ihre Mitglieder sehen wollten, die ein halbes Jahr später zu Superstars wurde - ein Sahnebonbon für jeden Rockfan. Überhaupt wird 2007 das Jahr der Comebacks.... Dazu Interview mit Francis Rossi und Rick Parfitt von Status Quo.
Mit Beispielen aus legendären Sendungen wie dem Musikladen oder dem Beat-Club werden wöchentlich verschiedene musikalische Stilrichtungen vorgestellt - ob Discofieber, Glam Rock, One Hit Wonder, New Wave, Fetenhits, Country oder Rock Klassiker, alle Stars traten auf der legendären Bühne im Studio 3 von Radio Bremen auf.
